Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], February 02: Bespoke Art Gallery positions itself at the intersection of global artistic discourse and local cultural engagement. Guided by a sensitive awareness of process, attention, and material presence, the gallery presents artistic practices that move beyond surface aesthetics to engage with lived experience and deeper conceptual inquiries. Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, Bespoke creates contemplative spaces that invite reflection, resonance, and meaningful encounters with contemporary art.
Emerging as one of India’s leading contemporary art spaces, Bespoke Art Gallery has established a distinctive presence both nationally and internationally. Renowned for its discerning curatorial vision, the gallery collaborates with globally recognised artists while supporting practices rooted in perception, material intelligence, and embodied ways of knowing. With a growing network across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Bespoke continues to foster cross-cultural dialogue and nuanced artistic exchange.
At just 30 years of age, Devin Gawarvala, Founder of Bespoke Art Gallery, Ahmedabad, stands among India’s youngest and most dynamic global art collectors, with a collection that seamlessly bridges continents and cultures. Introduced to the world of art through his father’s travels, Devin began visiting artist studios and galleries across the UK, Spain, Australia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan at an early age, cultivating a discerning eye for both contemporary and classical artistic expressions. His collection reflects this international sensibility—a thoughtful assemblage of paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works that weave diverse cultural narratives with modern aesthetics.

Trained as an engineer in the United States, Devin brings precision, structure, and method to his collecting practice, viewing art as a universal language that transcends geography and generations. He began envisioning Bespoke Art Gallery at the age of 25, shaping its expansive 20,000-square-foot space, and formally founded the gallery at 27. Conceived with a Zen-like sensibility, the gallery’s architecture and atmosphere offer visitors a sense of calm, clarity, and renewal. Through Bespoke, Devin translates his global encounters into a curated Indian space that fosters artistic exchange and meaningful cross-cultural dialogue.
Moving fluidly between abstraction and figuration, the works of Satish Gupta trace a continuity that extends from the intimacy of the human body to the vastness of the cosmos. Painter, sculptor, poet, writer, calligrapher, draftsman, muralist, and designer—these are not roles he alternates between, but parallel ways of attending to the world. In his practice, repetition is not reiteration, but a rhythmic return—akin to a chant—through which vibration gathers and disperses. Form emerges through attentiveness rather than assertion, and stillness becomes an active state of composure.
The exhibition draws upon modes of knowing rooted in lived experience, where consciousness is shaped through doing and understanding unfolds through patience and proximity. Here, making becomes meditative—an alignment of thought, gesture, and material. Time is sensed not as linear progression, but as a cyclical unfolding, where creation, dissolution, and renewal coexist within a shared continuum.
“Haiku of a Still Mind offers a space to pause, to sense, and to dwell,” says Devin Gawarvala. “It invites us into a quieter attentiveness, where perception deepens and presence becomes a form of knowing. In slowing down, we begin to encounter not only the work before us, but also the subtle rhythms through which meaning, awareness, and connection unfold.”
With this curation, Bespoke Art Gallery continues its commitment to presenting thoughtful exhibitions that foster dialogue between artist, audience, and context. The exhibition stands as an invitation to engage with art not merely as an object of viewing, but as a lived encounter—one that unfolds through time, attention, and shared presence.
