Pune Ceremony Honours More Than 75 Therapists for Their Contribution to the Ashadhi Wari Healthcare Initiative

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], August 28: A community-focused healthcare initiative conducted during the Ashadhi Wari has reached a significant milestone with Maha Arogya Wari 2026 receiving World Record recognition from the London Book of World Records. The initiative was conceptualized and conducted by Zep Multimedia Alternative Medicine Institute under the leadership of Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu.

The recognition was celebrated at a special World Record Certificate Distribution and Felicitation Ceremony held on August 24 at Maratha Chambers of Commerce, Pune. The event brought together therapists, healthcare practitioners, social contributors and distinguished guests to acknowledge the efforts that went into organizing the extensive service campaign.

Maha Arogya Wari 2026 was conducted between July 7 and July 26, 2026, during the period of the Ashadhi Wari. The annual pilgrimage brings together thousands of Warkaris who undertake long journeys towards Pandharpur. Considering the physical demands of the journey, the initiative was designed to provide pain-relief support to pilgrims at different points along the Wari route and in Pandharpur.

More than 250 trained therapists from across Maharashtra participated in the initiative. Working at different locations, the therapists provided services to Warkaris as part of the campaign’s focus on accessible, non-pharmaceutical pain-relief support.

The initiative operated under the motto “No Medicine • No Pills • Natural Pain-Relief Therapy.” According to the organizers, 120,354 Warkaris received pain-relief treatment during the campaign. The reported number of beneficiaries became a key feature of the initiative and its subsequent World Record recognition.

The campaign involved considerable coordination because therapists were deployed across multiple locations during the Wari period. The participation of professionals from different parts of Maharashtra enabled the initiative to establish a broad service network along the pilgrimage route.

The World Record recognition was accompanied by a special effort to acknowledge the therapists who contributed to the campaign. During the Pune ceremony, more than 75 therapists were felicitated individually with certificates and mementos. Their contributions were recognized as an important part of the overall achievement.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished personalities. Among the guests were Mr. Mahesh Thorave, Director, MIT; Dr. Priya, Founder Director, Metowe Mission; Mr. Anand Yadav, Treasurer, India Society for Study Incorporation; Dr. Arvind Sakunde, International President, International Human Rights Ambassador Organization; HBP Chandrakant More; and Mr. Sanjay Genu Kadu, Director, Zep Multimedia and National President, Paramparik Vaidya Association.

The dignitaries present at the event appreciated the therapists for their dedication and participation in the initiative. The ceremony also highlighted the collective nature of the campaign, with the World Record achievement being associated not only with its organizers but also with the large group of therapists who delivered services throughout the Wari.

The Ashadhi Wari presents unique challenges because of the distance covered by pilgrims and the physical effort involved in the journey. Healthcare and wellness services can therefore play a supportive role during the pilgrimage. Maha Arogya Wari 2026 sought to address this aspect by bringing therapists closer to the Warkaris rather than limiting services to conventional healthcare settings.

The initiative also reflects a broader approach to community service, where professional skills are utilized in support of people participating in a major cultural and religious journey. For the participating therapists, the campaign provided an opportunity to contribute their expertise while being part of a large coordinated healthcare effort.

For Zep Multimedia Alternative Medicine Institute, the World Record recognition marks another milestone in its service-oriented activities. The institute, along with its participating therapists and supporting members, used the Wari as a platform to deliver healthcare-related assistance on a large scale.

The felicitation event in Pune served as a concluding celebration of the campaign’s efforts. Certificates and mementos presented to the therapists symbolized appreciation for their work, while the World Record certificate represented recognition of the reported scale of the initiative.
